
Pope Francis left the hospital after a third night in the Roman polyclinic “Agostino Gemelli” and returned to his residence Santa Marta in the Vatican.
His spokesman Matteo Bruni announced this on Saturday.
The Pope thanked the head of the polyclinic, Marco Elfanfi, whose assistants and all doctors and nurses who deal with him these days, says Bruni.
The Pope said the journalist waiting in front of the hospital that he felt uncomfortable after the general audience on Wednesday, but he was “not afraid”.
